Employment Damage Done in 140 Characters

One thing that everyone must understand is that Twitter is no different than Facebook or MySpace – whatever you say or post can impact your ability to find employment. What we find amazing is that people continue to fall into the sharing everything trap and then it comes back to “bite them”.

Here is a great example of what can happen on Twitter, even when someone can only post their thoughts in 140 characters. Have a look at this twitter about what someone thought of their new job offer at Cisco - the individual seems to have forgotten that it is easy to track what people say on these social networking sites.

Thanks to the brandbuilder blog for pointing us to this latest job faux-pas!
