Want to Become Indispensable – then Become Engaged!
Seth Godin has written a new “must read” book, which highlights why it is more important than ever to become indispensable. He refers to these indispensable employees as “linchpins”.
“Linchpins are the essential building blocks of great organizations: they invent, lead (regardless of title), connect others, make things happen, and create order out of chaos. They love their work and pour their best selves into it and turn each day into a kind of art - and, in today's world, they get the best jobs and the most freedom.”
….hmmmm, it sounds to us like he is talking about highly engaged employees and has simply found a “more catchy” phase. You decide. Regardless, of what they are called – if you want to become an indispensable employee heed his advice!
